About the International Austin website
International Austin is a partnership of GlobalAustin and the City of Austin to offer a central web portal of information about international events and resources in Austin. Events may be submitted by approved members and by the public. A broad range of events are covered. The Membership Directory includes international associations and organizations of all kinds that produce events and offer resources to the community at large.

GlobalAustin is non-profit, 501(c)(3) founded as the International Hospitality Council of Austin in 1960 to match international students at The University of Texas with Austin families for fun and fellowship. Today GlobalAustin provides programming on behalf of the US Department of State's International Visitors Leadership Program and other program partners in Washington DC. GlobalAustin is part of a network of 96 community based organizations and more than 80,000 volunteers providing programs around higher education, state and local government, business, technology, among other topics.
